Dressing on a Budget
Some people are born with it, other people work hard at it but anyone can look good, no matter what your budget is.
Quality is more important than quantity; a few staple pieces can make or break your outfits and be worn again and again.
Buy clothes that fit, and suit your body shape. Highlight the good parts, and hide any problems areas.
Charity shop and vintage stores can be great for finding second hand bargains. EBay is another option for people who want to find great second hand clothes. You can even sell some of your old stuff for extra cash.
Accessories and shoes are important and they can make a dull outfit fabulous. You can swap and change these around to make the same dress look different every time.
Wait for the sale and go hunting for those seasonal bargains, but make sure you don’t buy impulsively. Spot something you really want, and wait for the price to come down.
Think before you throw away; are the clothes mend-able? Basic sowing skills can save some of your favourite outfits rather than you throwing the item out.
Get a few friends to swap clothes when you are tired or bored of them. This is great for all of you as you get to mix up and try something you may not have brought yourself.
Check out the high end shops and then hit the high street. More and more stores are offering fashion imitations that look just as good without the hefty price tag.
