Based in New York City they go about their day to day lives stumbling from adventure to adventure. They attend gala nights and charity events, red carpet premiers and other spectacular affairs. Our lives may not be as interesting or as exciting as these ladies however we always want to look our best. Sex And The City has taught us that no matter what the occasion we should always look fabulous.

Not only do the ladies outfits themselves look great but by watching them grow & experiment we have learnt about accessories, shoes and how to really dress up an outfit.

Fashion now a days is very different to how it was in the late 1990’s, Of course we cant contribute those to the Sex And The City TV Series however it is shows like this that show classy females, or all types looking good that has influenced our lives.

Even in the Sex And The City movie you can see Jennifer Hudson’s character rent out designer bags. She can’t afford to own one but she is so keen to look and feel the part of a highly fashionable business woman that she hires different bags for different occasions.

Dressing on a Budget

Some people are born with it, other people work hard at it but anyone can look good, no matter what your budget is.

Quality is more important than quantity; a few staple pieces can make or break your outfits and be worn again and again.

Buy clothes that fit, and suit your body shape. Highlight the good parts, and hide any problems areas.

Charity shop and vintage stores can be great for finding second hand bargains. EBay is another option for people who want to find great second hand clothes. You can even sell some of your old stuff for extra cash.

Accessories and shoes are important and they can make a dull outfit fabulous. You can swap and change these around to make the same dress look different every time.

Wait for the sale and go hunting for those seasonal bargains, but make sure you don’t buy impulsively. Spot something you really want, and wait for the price to come down.

Think before you throw away; are the clothes mend-able? Basic sowing skills can save some of your favourite outfits rather than you throwing the item out.

Get a few friends to swap clothes when you are tired or bored of them. This is great for all of you as you get to mix up and try something you may not have brought yourself.

Check out the high end shops and then hit the high street. More and more stores are offering fashion imitations that look just as good without the hefty price tag.

The dress itself is simple yet sexy, and classy enough to wear on any occasion. Whether it’s for a job interview or a red carpet appearance the LBD is perfect for any age, size or shape.

When wearing a little black dress, it’s important that you have the perfect accessories. Minimal makeup with statement jewellery or shoes can make your little black dress stand out in the crowd.

Once you have chosen the perfect little black dress for you, it’s an item that will stay in your wardrobe and be worn again for many years to come. Remember when choosing your LDB keep the lines simple and classic so that it will stand the test of time, update your dress with accessories to bring it on trend.

After 80 years the little black dress shows no signs of slowing down, so make sure you’ve got yours today.
